Everything about this hotel is fantastic, definitely the top of the Britannia chains hotels, well run, spotlessly clean, staff very very helpful, food just beautiful. need to give other Britannias tips on how to improve, if this one can do it why dont they?

We were on a three night coach holiday and we loved every minute of our stay. A fab night Saturday with the entertainment and new friends. There were a lot of guests so it must have been stressful, but the staff were really helpful and friendly and the meals were lovely. Thank you for helping us make happy memories.
For the price we paid for our trip, we cannot fault anything. The only thing we disliked was leaving.

I stayed at the waterside hotel for 3 nights and my stay was amazing. The Manager James is so helpful, professional and goes extra miles to please his customers and takes care of every little detail/need a guest may ask for. All the staff at the hotel/ reception and the chef everyone was so warm, helpful and polite. I can not appreciate enough the service I received was excellent
I loved it and would recommend to anyone looking to visit/ stay, just book it

Note I marked a 9 when James manager was there .wsad to say our stay plummeted the rest of time.
James is a ambassador for Waterside hotel.
His attention to detail is second to none.

Kept guests up dated with how thier complaint was progressing.
I got burned by hot water an accident due to a faulty shower
James kept us updated plumbers came needed to order apart we were offered another room but it was professionally delt with.
Bar prices £2 a can diet cola £1.75 soda and dash
Our bedroom was not cleaned on the Thursday I guess it was an oversight.
meals after James left plummeted lack of management
Foods were not refilled and parts of menu forgot hot drinks machine not working and fruit juice machine did work staff forgot to put out fruit juice in jugs.
Porridge did not get refilled or porridge’s refilled
Meals once you fought to get plate there seem to be a shortage of bowls plates cups ect.
Having said all of above the food was good just needing better management.
I pointed out that the salad starter there was no met jur4 bits tomatoe mix green leafes . Fresh fruit was lacking melon but one night there were 6 bits strawberries and few grapes.
Tea and coffee jugs were only lukewarm
Really poor.
On the Wednesday night the residents lounge was taken over by a local meeting.
After all I said I will return as I enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and homely feel .
Not to mention James

From being met on the coach by James the manager to the last night bingo game this has been a stay and a half. James and his staff have made our stay one of the best we have had. Food and facilities excellent, maybe a little tired in places but they couldn't do enough for us. I even got my haggis. Great choice and standard of food. Staff were so nice and nothing too much trouble. Comfy longer area and plenty to keep you occupied . Well done all

Just back home from an Urquhart’s new year break. Excellent time. Hotel staff outstanding. Manager excelled in his efforts to serve all the guests. The loyalty and regard staff showed to their manager was inspirational. Food choice, quality and quantity really good.
Coach driver Alex top notch. In all, a brilliant start to 2019.

For being a 3 star and visited with national holidays you couldn't have asked for anything better. A newly appointed manager James made the visit brilliant he couldn't have done enough for you if you ask the food was at a good standard always hot replenished soon as it got low. Didn't find anything wrong with our room but maintenance work on some rooms are under way and what other managers are their 24-7 to talk to sort problems out straightaway and even joined in with the entertainment what a top bloke
Nothing stayed in a lot worse for more money

Rooms are a bit dated, and some of the corridors etc need a refurb, but the rooms are very comfortable and quiet.

Friendly greeting at reception, rooms a good size, comfy bed, very clean. Good gym and pool facilities. Good restaurant.
A bit old fashioned but this is the only downside. I'll definitely stay again.

Excellent food, really nice Aberdonian hospitality.Room could do with a make over but not by Lawrence lewellin fluffy sleeves Bowen. Great pool, sauna etc. Set in a really nice position.
Room a bit tatty but I was on a deal .
